My counselling approach
My life experience and time as a counsellor have shown me that my warmth and empathy are qualities that help create an atmosphere of trust for the clients with whom I work. When such an atmosphere exists, clients can feel comfortable talking about the distress they are experiencing. By working together, we can begin to resolve the issues that are causing your distress, and work towards encouraging your personal growth.
Although a sound theoretical training and recognised qualifications are of the utmost importance, research shows that it’s the positive working relationship between client and counsellor that is the primary indicator of a successful outcome for the client. I offer a comfortable and relaxed environment in which clients can gain the confidence to express themselves freely.
